Waterford Castle Wedding Photographer

It was a pleasure to work with the couple, who hail from El Salvador (Pamela) and Newry (Sarah) but have made their home in London. They gave me the creative freedom to shoot their special day in a style that I absolutely love – candid and natural. They were clear from the start that they didn’t want to spend their day posing for photos and being away from their guests, and I was all for it!

First Look Photos Under The Oak Tree at Waterford Castle

The day was filled with laughter and love, especially during the ‘first look’, which was quite unique since they got ready together. It was a heartwarming scene to capture. And the weather? We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect sunny day in August, which made the setting under the Oak Tree at the castle’s backyard magical.

Their adorable Cocker Spaniel, who travelled with them from London, also made a special appearance in some of the photos. It was such a sweet addition to their day.

The Best Wedding Planners in Ireland

Kudos to Waterlily Weddings for their impeccable planning – working with them has always been a dream. I arrived early to mingle and get acquainted with everyone, which set a fantastic tone for the rest of the day. A great team to work with to get the best from your Waterford Castle Wedding Photographer.

Wedding on the Lawn at Waterford Castle

The ceremony was beautiful, with both brides walking in with their parents. Lamber Debie’s floral arrangements were a sight to behold, truly elevating the venue’s beauty. Nicola Hayes, from Spiritual Ceremonies, did a hand-fasting ceremony, which was a lovely touch before the couple and their guests moved on to the drinks reception – no receiving line meant more time for fun and celebration!

Wedding Speeches at The Castle Door

We managed to sneak in some family photos during the reception, which turned out to be a blast for everyone involved. The mums and Sarah’s brother gave heartfelt toasts just before dinner, followed by the cake cutting – always a highlight!

Golden Hour Portrait Session at Waterford Castle

As the evening light cast a warm glow over the island, the brides took a moment for some additional portraits, which was a serene break before the evening festivities kicked off. They then slipped into black tie attire, and the Bentley Boys got everyone up and dancing by 9 pm. In between was a Drag Show by Robyn Diamonds. Rumour has it the party went on until the wee hours of the morning – a true testament to an unforgettable Irish wedding.

“We wanted to first of all thank you for everything during the wedding. We didn’t get to send this email earlier but we truly appreciated your amazing work during our day. We felt you really knew what we wanted and made the shooting sessions so easy and smooth. We know the photos will be spectacular!”
